Karyn Poplin, a member of the Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary based in Fort Worth, Texas, recently came to the rescue of an old cat named Archmage. The poor cat had been abandoned at a shelter because his previous family was moving and unable to take him along. Karyn and her husband decided to give Archmage a new home at their sanctuary, where he quickly adjusted and made himself comfortable. Despite his rough appearance, Archmage was filled with happiness, as evidenced by his loud purring.
The cat had a tangle of fur that required grooming. The Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary is operated by a couple who provide a safe haven for cats in need in the DFW Texas region. Karyn rescued these felines from euthanasia and now they enjoy a cozy and affectionate home for their senior years.
Karyn from Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary shared that the moment they brought Archmage in, he felt immediately comfortable and at ease. He didn’t shy away or hide, especially once he realized he could get delicious canned food just by being his adorable self. With food often sticking in his beard, Archmage resembles a lovable cartoon character.
The Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary shared that Archmage, a resident cat, has dilated eyes possibly due to a nutritional deficiency in his past. The vet has given him a clean bill of health despite his age. Archmage is quite particular about his food preferences and dinner setup, showing his strong opinions.
The Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary is where Karyn shared with Love Meow that a cat will sleep next to you to show you his food bowl is empty and he’s not pleased about it. Although he doesn’t vocalize much, he will touch you with his paw to get your attention if he feels ignored.
